International basketball legends Penny Taylor of Australia and Carmelo Anthony of the USA performed as hosts for the Draws.
Taylor, the MVP of the FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup 2006 after leading the Opals to the title, claimed Olympic silver medals at the 2004 and 2008 Games. She also played at the 2016 Olympics when Australia were fifth. She was recently inducted to the 2023 Class of FIBA Hall of Fame.
Anthony is second on the all-time scoring list for the USA. He won gold medals at the 2008, 2012 and 2016 Olympics and bronze at the 2004 Athens Games.
With the conclusion of the FIBA Women's Olympic Qualifying Tournaments 2024 held in Belgium, Brazil, China, and Hungary, all 12 teams for the women's draw are now confirmed:
