The FIBA U17 Oceania Championship will serve as the first step in the qualification process to the 2025 FIBA U19 World Cup. The top two finishers will qualify to the 2024 FIBA U18 Asian Championship.

Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea
Port Moresby, also referred to as ‘Pom City’ or simply ‘Moresby’, is the capital of Papua New Guinea. It is located on the shores of the Gulf of Papua, on the south-eastern coast of the Papuan Peninsula of the island of Papua New Guinea.
Port Moresby is the largest city in the South Pacific with a population of around 800,000. The country has a tremendous amount to offer, both above and below the water. The place where the city was founded has been inhabited by the Motu-Koitabu people for centuries.
